RF Engineering Internship

Role

We're looking for a highly motivated individual who’s looking to develop a career in RF Microwave and, ultimately, at Jersey Microwave. This role is meant to grow into a full-time RF Engineer position at the company.

As an intern, you will work under the guidance of a mentor to help support the Engineering team in the design and test of next generation amplifier and frequency converter products. You will get on-the-job training and gain invaluable, hands-on experience from design through production.

Qualified individuals should have a strong understanding of RF Microwave theory, DC circuits and basic engineering principles, and should demonstrate a keen interest in research and development and an openness to learning. Because you will be assigned to work on active projects and, thus, become an important member of the team, the internship requires a minimum commitment of 2 full working days and 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Work on assigned projects under the guidance of a mentor
  • Assist in research, product design and analysis/validation

Requirements

  • College Senior pursuing a BS or Master's Student pursuing a MS in EE
  • Strong understanding of RF Microwave theory, DC circuits and basic engineering principles
  • Knowledge of basic programming (C, C++, Assembly), CAD, CST/ADS, PCB board layout/design
  • Minimum commitment of 2 days, 20 hours per week
  • Attention to detail and good troubleshooting skills are essential
  • Great attitude, high motivation and excellent team work
  • Strong communications, organization and documentation skills
  • US citizen preferred, Permanent resident required
