Using next-generation technologies, we specialize in developing high frequency sub-systems that support leading edge satellite, airborne, marine and land mobile communications systems for some of the toughest commercial and defense applications.

Our Story

Driven by a simple belief that we can always do better—deliver better products, experiences and ultimately value—Jersey Microwave has grown from a RF component shop to a vertically integrated sub-system provider.

  1. The Beginning

    The Beginning

    Established in 1995, Jersey Microwave began as a small engineering consultancy focused on research and design projects.

    Seeing a need for quicker delivery and better quality products from our clients, our business quickly adapted to provide fabrication as well.

  2. Gaining Ground

    Gaining Ground

    The new millennium brought on new opportunities. With a growing reputation for tackling and meeting some of the toughest requirements, we began to take on larger-scale and higher end projects. Key product areas included LNA, LNB and custom integrated assemblies.

  3. BUC Development

    BUC Development

    We saw a need for better, more efficient BUCs in the market. So in 2003, we began developing our own offering. In two short years, JM became the main supplier for WGS and was quickly recognized for converters throughout the industry.

  4. Higher Frequencies

    Higher Frequencies

    Foreseeing the demand in Ka-Band, we continued to push the boundaries of BUC offerings, extending into higher frequencies. In 2007, we began work on the Win-T Ka-Band program for Wavestream, and then Win-T Ku-Band for CPI the following year.

    In 2010, we relocated to a larger and newer facility to meet growing demand for our products and further support our R&D efforts. Over the next several years, we supported BAE, O3b and NBN on major programs, and expanded our product offerings to include TLTs and Transceivers.

    Next Generation

    2015 marked our 20th anniversary and the roll-out of our new brand. It represents our ongoing commitment to research and development of next generation RF technologies. We introduced Redundancy Systems and Agile Converters to our product lineup, and continue to pursue innovations that maximize field operability and end user value.

  8. Breaking Away from Standard L-band IF

    Breaking Away from Standard L-band IF

    Jersey Microwave introduces their 2500 MHz wide L/S-band (1500-4000 MHz) to Ka-band Frequency Block Up Converters (instantaneous BW 27.5-30.0 GHz) and Block Down Converters (instantaneous BW 17.7-20.2 GHz).

  9. Jersey Microwave Provides Redundancy

    Breaking Away from Standard L-band IF

    Jersey Microwave introduces it’s indoor standard 19 inch rack and outdoor 1:1 and 1:2 Redundancy Switch Product. Unique to Jersey Microwave these switches come offer a solution with the most redundancy for M&C connections (connect to one or all), triple redundant DC power to the Redundancy Switch as it gets its DC from each of the online converters (on a 1:2 system, Dual redundant on a 1:1). All converters must fail in order to not power the Redundancy Switching unit.

  10. Investing up through Q/V-band

    Investing up through Q/V-band

    Jersey Microwave has invested in the equipment and resources to design and develop it’s Q/V-band frequency Block converter product. The investment quickly paid off! Jersey Microwave secured a major production contract for military Q-band Frequency Block Up and Block Down converters.

  11. Supports the need for affordable 5G test equipment

    Supports the need for affordable 5G test equipment

    Jersey Microwave used existing field proven Ka-band block converter products and reconfigured into indoor test equipment to facilitate “5G Over-the-Air” testing. This benchtop equipment is a low cost approach to utilizing existing test equipment but bringing the capability of the low frequency equipment up to Ka-band (and back down when needed). Jersey Microwave is a Keysight Test Equipment Solutions Partner and compliments their existing 5G Suite of equipment.

    Out with the Old, in with the New!

    Jersey Microwave updated it’s Triband Product offering to cover the full 27.5-30.0 GHz for the BUC and 17.7-20.2 GHz for the BDC.
