Senior RF Test Technician

Role

JM is looking for a Senior RF/Microwave/Millimeter-wave Test Technician to join the team and help develop next generation amplifier and frequency converter products. In this role, you will be responsible for the test and validation of complex products and prototypes, and help maintain production quality, ensure on-time delivery and continually improve on efficiencies.

You will be expected to work independently; routinely recognize, communicate and solve problems; and provide guidance to more junior technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering to test prototypes and validate design
  • Provide full guidance on tuning methodology
  • Ensure compliance to specific test requirements and test methods
  • Perform appropriate in process inspections and tests such as workmanship, dimensional, and interface gauging in accordance with product and process specifications
  • Assess and troubleshoot issues, and document production challenges
  • Collaborate with QA and engineering to continuously improve quality and manufacturability

Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's/Associates degree with 10+ years of hands-on test experience
  • Must pass J-STD-001 Class 3 workmanship inspections
  • Expert knowledge of electrical test methodologies, equipment and result validation criteria
  • Expert knowledge of high power / high frequency RF circuitry testing in amplifier and converter products (Ka-Band and higher) – familiarity with GaN is a plus
  • High initiative, attention to detail and good troubleshooting skills are essential
  • Strong communications, organization and documentation skills
  • US citizen preferred, Permanent resident required
